Very Busy Friday

So Friday morning I decided to ignore my cough and stuffy nose and take a walk in the beautiful weather. My one hour excursion was very nice indeed.

Then in the afternoon, after we fed the missionaries lunch, Rachel, Ammon, and I went to the museum in Vinhedo. The city of Vinhedo is only like 50 years old so there wasn't much to see at the museum, but the grounds are beautiful!

Italian immigrants made up a huge part of the beginnings of Vinhedo.

There is usually water running through everything, but they had it turned off for construction.

Have I mentioned that Vinhedo means vineyard?

Here we have the Italian flag, the flag of Vinhedo, the Brazil flag, and the flag of Sao Paulo. Don't ask me why the Brazil flag is the lowest one. It seemed to me that Vinhedo and Sao Paulo were the same height and then Italy and then Brazil.

These are at the very beginning of the city. You'll notice these are the same statues as at the museum just with color. I wonder why . . .

I love this! It says Jesus Christ, the Lord of Vinhedo or if you translate it, Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Vineyard.

Then Eliane and I went to another dance. I shouldn't have gone because I was feeling very crappy, but I wanted to have one last dance with my Brazilian friends so I went. These pictures make it look like we had more fun than we did. There were only like 20 people there, including us, and the speaker broke so for an hour and a half there was no music, and I was feeling sick. So like I said I shouldn't have gone. But it was nice to see some people that I might not ever see again.

I am so glad I met Augusta!

As I mentioned earlier this dance was called iBaile. So they had technology stuff everywhere.

We totally started a trend with this. Everyone started doing it after we did.

Us with awesome glowing headbands

Starting with me and going clockwise, me, Eliane, some kid I don't know, Bruno, Augusta, Patrick

Like I said, this makes it look like it was more fun than it was. :) But oh well. At least I got cute pictures out of it. We didn't get home until 2:30am (much to my chagrin [you never get a say in things when you don't speak the same language]) so it was a very busy Friday indeed.
