Campinas Temple

On Thursday night Rachel, Eliane, and I went to the Campinas temple. It was very nice, but also very different from any other temple experience I've had. They have a different way of doing things here, for sure. But it was really awesome to see that no matter where you are the ordinances are the same, even if it's in a different language. We got there at about 6:50pm and left at 10:30pm.

Afterwards we went to McDonalds. I'm telling you it is such a different experience than in the states. There's not a dollar menu and everyone gets a meal when they go. So to eat at McDonalds it will cost you at least R$15. Eliane also told me that everyone thinks of it as a nicer restaurant. They always eat their sandwiches with a napkin and Eliane said that the first time she went to McDonalds here she went in sweats and everyone looked at her like she was crazy for not dressing up for McDonalds. It was really weird that I got my sandwich in a box because I have always gotten the cheap burgers and never spent more than 5 dollars at McDonalds at one time. Crazy . . .

Nani pointed these people out to me when we were at Dom Pedro. They are eating their burgers with napkins wrapped around them. :)
