Yesterday, Rebecca, Genna, and I went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo for a morning adventure. It was soooo fun! I think I had a lot more fun than Genna did. I seriously felt like a little kid again.
At this zoo there is a giraffe feeding area. Seriously. You can FEED giraffes. It was very exciting. I nicknamed the giraffe I fed "Greedy", because he wouldn't come near me unless I had a cracker in my hand.
This giraffe on the other hand let me pet him without any food at all. What a friendly giraffe!
This giraffe looked really really old. Look at his face. There are wrinkles and he just looks like he has seen a lot of years.

This is not a real giraffe. They had a dark gray sock sort of thing that you could put your hand in to see how long a giraffe's tongue really is. Genna thought it was hilarious when I waved at her with the "tongue".

After a while Genna was wondering when we would go home for lunch. "Are we done yet?"

Then we all started to feel a little "wild" . . .
I started to feel wise like an owl.

Rebecca started to feel flighty and pretty like a butterfly.

Genna started channeling a giraffe's need for crackers .

And then I started to feel sleek and cool like a lioness.

Finally my camera ran out of memory, so we all started to feel like humans again and decided to leave for lunch and naps.
In case you were wondering, yes, there are other animals at this zoo besides giraffes. We actually got really lucky and saw most of the animals doing exciting things-like moving. :) So, Rebecca and I took a lot of videos and here is a short compilation of them. It is pretty cool, so you should definitely watch.
