As some of you know (mostly Joanne) I am obsessed with hammocks. So I wanted to buy one in Brazil, but this area is not really the hammock buying area, so I kind of gave up that dream. But then Rachel was picking up Eliane from work and saw some guys with a van of hammocks for sale. She told them to come to her house.
Well, at this point I had spent pretty much all the money I wanted to but I did have some cash I could use. So the guys start showing me and Rachel their wares and we are impressed, but we quickly find out that everything is very expensive. I pretty much give up because I don’t want to spend that much. So they work on Rachel but finally we both really say no (turns out salespeople are the same all over the world). They had already lowered the price of their stuff, but it was still more than I wanted to spend. We close the gate and open the front door and they call out to us. They are willing to sell the hammock that I really like for $80 off the original price. It’s getting close to what I want to spend, but still, no. We step inside the house. Wait! He’ll sell it for $90 off the original price. I stop and consider. It’s getting really close to what I would spend, I almost say yes, but I don’t. Rachel tells him I said no. Two seconds later, $100 off the original price. I say, done. I smile and get my cash and he is happy to make his first sale of the day.
I can’t wait to set this up in my backyard!

COOL! I bought a hammock down there. They are so fun and comfy. Now that we have a house that has room, we need to find a good place to hang it up somewhere. :)
Bargaining is the best. It's fun to negotiate prices in Brazil.
