Another Dance and Harry Potter

Eliane, Augusta, Lucas, Alessandro, me
So on Friday Eliane, Augusta, Alessandro, Lucas (Alesandro's cousin), and I went to another dance. It was in Campinas and we were excited for another dance. Then we got there are we were very surprised. This dance was for the young adults and the youth. And there were mostly 14 year olds there. Oh brother. But we decided to stick it out and make it fun. And we did! It was a blast to do the YMCA dance in Brazil and to hear Thriller.

I've also fallen in love with some Brazilian Songs: Adrenalina and Amo Noite e Dia. There's also this one song, Liga da Justiça, about superman that there is a fun dance for.
We did the YMCA at the dance. :)

Alessandro and Eliane won first place in a forro competition.

After the dance we went to eat hamburgers. Everyone wanted to eat at McDonald's, but it was closed. So we ate at the other little place. We sat under a coconut tree with a full moon in the sky.

The next day I made a special treat while everyone else was either at work or church activities. The other day while shopping with Rachel and Ammon, we saw these molds that looked like brooms. I knew we were going to see Harry Potter 7 part 2 on Saturday, so I quickly bought them and made plans to fill them with something yummy. I realized later that the molds are actually some fizzy drink on a stick. Whatever. They look like brooms to me. So I filled them with one layer of melted chocolate. Froze them for a minute. Added a mixture of Paçoquinhas and peanut butter. And then added another layer of melted chocolate on top of that. They turned out awesome! I was so pleased. And they were super delicious. The mixture of the Paçoquinhas and peanut butter really made them taste like a Reese's.

Saturday afternoon Eliane and I went to a birthday party for Alessandro's sister, Lais. It was an "American" barbeque so therefore we all brought out own meat. ??? Anyway, we had fun with Alessandro, Lucas, and Bruno and the food was good too. There was a huge dog there and Lucas said he was afraid of it because he's "not afraid of dogs, just monsters." Ha ha! He ended up playing (?) with him anyway though.
Lucas and Alessandro danging. :)

So, after the barbeque we all went to Dom Pedro to see Harry Potter. Man, that mall is huge! There is a Walmart, at least 2 car dealerships, tons of food, a movie theater, and thousands of shops. Crazy. Anyway, Harry Potter was good. I'm not really a fan of the movies, but it was fun. Especially in 3D. Which I'm also not a fan of, but together they were fun. But it was probably the thrill of seeing it with my cousins and being in Brazil. :)

Today, I took a picture of this little girl because she sat next to me with a huge smile. So I said "Oi." And she started chatting which I couldn't understand and then I said, "sapatos lindos." She smiled and chatted some more and then ran away to play in the grass.

What is Paçoquinhas? I think they look cute and yummy. I just saw the movie today with Melinda & Jeff, and I enjoyed it. Not 3D, which I might have found annoying. Did you cry?
