Week of Christmas, Monday - Snowman, Genna, and Family Party

On Monday, Orem Utah received a literal downpour of snow. I'm not sure of the statistics, but it felt like at least a foot. Jordan, Avery, and I took advantage of the opportunity to make a snowman. Isn't he cute? Our snowman's facial features, buttons, pipe, and scarf all came from a snowman kit that my friend, Laura, gave to me for my birthday.

As you can see from the pictures I did not do my hair and makeup before I played in the snow (why should I?) so don't judge me. :)

I was having a lot of fun outside, but when I heard Genna was coming over nothing could keep me outside. Genna is absolutely adorable! She smiles, laughs, and crawls around getting into trouble all day long. I only see her cry when she is tired.
Genna and Avery sat on my bed in the dark with some Christmas lights and enjoyed the special glow. The two of them play really well together. Avery is more shy than Genna, but he is old enough to show her the ropes.

We had our own version of the Nativity at my house later that night. Matt, Chiaki and their kids, John, Jen, and their kids, Ryan, Stacy, and Avery, Reid, Rebecca, and Genna and Manoel and Eiane Silva came over to eat delicious treats, re-create the nativity scene, and chit chat. We had a lot of fun! Family is an amazing thing!
