Actinopterygians and Pachycephlasaurs

I have absolutely loved my historical geology class this semester. We covered the entire history of our planet, Earth. That is 4.5 billion years!!! Let me tell you, the tests were really hard! Besides regular geology knowledge, I had to master animal and plant phylogenies. That's where I got the title for this blog. Those are my two favorite names to say. The first is a type of fish and the other is a type of dinosaur.

Another thing I realized is that time is a really weird thing. Weirder than that cornstarch goo that you make that's liquidy and solidat the same time. It is so subjective! I mean the Earth is 4.5 billion years old. WOW! I can't even fathom that. While I was in class, 50 million years is like a second in Earth's time. And then I have to go to a boring class for 50 minutes and it feels like hours and hours. You go to your first day of school and you think the semester will last forever and then you finish your finals and you look back and think, wow I can't believe it is all over. We also know that where Heavenly Father is time doesn't really mean anything. Seriously crazy!

School is hard, but really satisifying in most respects. I'm glad for the knowledge and glad for the break until January 7th.

I'm so proud of you, my smart sister. I hope you teach your children those words.
