Last Saturday night, my parents, Jordan, and I went to Mimi's Cafe for dinner. We were about to order our usuals (turkey pesto ciabatta, cobb salad, etc.) when Jordan decided he wanted to try the jambalya. Because our waiter was rediciously slow, the rest of us started talking and decided that we should all get something French/Cajun since that is what Mimi's does best. We had such a fun time trying new things that I decided to document it with my cell phone camera, so sorry the pictures are rather low quality.
So, I got an asparagus brie quiche.
My mom got the beef bourguignon.
My dad got a creole chicken crepe.
And here's Jordan's penne jambalaya.
For dessert, we got beignets. Insanely delicious!
It was such a blast! And everything was really delicious. The only thing that could have been better was the service. The waiter was the worst I have ever had, hands down. However, if he hadn't been so slow we wouldn't have decided to be adventurous. : )

That sounds like fun! I'm jealous that you guys had such a fun time going out to eat. All we ever did was go to Pancho's...
