Christmas Vacation - Part 3

On Christmas Eve, Reid and Genna ran errands for some last minute things we needed. Genna had fun sitting behind the wheel and beeping the horn.

Reid and Jordan set the table for our special Christmas Eve dinner. They did a great job!

Our good friend Jane came over to celebrate with us. We had a really great night.




On Christmas morning, Genna woke up at about 7:30
But before we opened presents, we looked for the pickle ornament. It is a German tradition that Reid did growing up with his family. Someone hides the ornament and whoever finds it gets a jar of pickles. We all ran around looking for it, but Reid was victorious.

Then we went into the front room to find out stockings. As I had hoped, Genna immediately saw Foofa and yelled her name. She was really excited.

Mom got Genna a stroller that Genna has really enjoyed. Foofa has been getting lots of rides in it.
Rebecca got a scarf and jacket from the Cluffs.
I gave Genna some new clothes

As well as a joint present with Chad. I bought her a stuffed animal of the mouse from "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie" and Chad gave her the book.
Becca's friend Kim gave Genna the Bernstein Bears build-a-bear style. My mom and I stuffed them.
Also in her stocking, Genna got a ton of clementines. She loves them! That morning she figured out how to peel them by herself and she ate 7! Her diaper was a lot of fun later. . .


Everyone had a great day. I spent a large amount of the day watching movies. We watched Barbie Nutcracker, The Three Caballeros, Star Trek, and my new favorite TV show, Avatar: The Last Airbender. We have also played a lot of Wii, specifically Pokemon Rumble.
