Christmas Vacation - Part 2

Here is Genna ready for the day. Saturday morning we had fun playing with Genna.

Genna and I went outside to wait for Grandma and Grandpa to come and visit us at Rebecca's house.

When Grandma and Grandpa came, they were in love! Genna played with and charmed them just like she does with everyone. After lunch and a nap it was time to get ready for Kara and Mark's wedding. Genna wore her purple party dress.
Aren't we cute?
Genna was very enthusiastic during the wedding and reception. In fact, she was so excited that she decided to put her fingers in the wedding cake! Oh Genna . . .

On Sunday, Rebecca, Mom, and I sang our song in church and it went really well. After church we went to the Christensens to play with our cousins. Then it was time to go home and relax. Genna was comfortable and warm in her cute pink sweats. That night, Bec, Reid, Genna, and I drove around and looked at Christmas lights.
On Monday, Bec and Reid went to Denver for an early anniversary celebration. Mom and I stayed home with Genna.

We ended up giving Genna a haircut. This is the second time my mom and I have cut her hair and I think it went pretty well.
Isn't it cute?

Yay! New hair!
This is Genna showing Mom her "silly face."
Tuesday morning at 6:00 am the boys finally joined us for our vacation. Chad lent mom his jacket.
And Jordan showed us his new hat.

All the while Genna kept eating!
Tuesday afternoon, we were finally able to get into the house that we rented. This is my bedroom, the smallest, but very cute. I even have my own bathroom.
And the icing on the cake is the cute pictures of shoes on the walls.
Here is the entry way with our Christmas tree and the fireplace. This hundred year old house is idyllic. We have loved our stay here so far.
Mom and Dad are trying out the love seat.
I asked Chad to pose by the fireplace. He looks so dreamy.
Now he is looking hot!
Our first night we made rice krispie treats and hot chocolate. Yum!

Jordan and I went outside in our bathrobes to try out the front porch swing. It was a little chilly, but we had fun swinging, watching the snow fall, and taking pictures.

The next morning Genna was hurgry, of course, and asked for a banana. Well, we just happened to have some special bananas for her. At the grocery store I found some mini bananas that were about three inches long. So cute! Plus Genna never finishes a whole banana, so it was a perfect fit. Actually she didn't finish this one either, but it was still adorable.
The woman we are renting the house from told us that the squirrels around here are very tame and you can feed them right out of your hands. Well, I decided to try it out. And it was true!

We put our extra salad in the back of the fridge and it froze. Genna had fun playing with the stiff lettuce leaves.

Genna also loves this tiny bench with a cute bear on it.

Another thing Genna loves is jumping on beds, in this house, specifically on my bed. She says, "dumpy dumpy," or "jumpy jumpy."

Looking at herself in the mirror is another of Genna's favorite things.
That afternoon, Dad, Chad, and I went for a walk in the freezing weather. I loved this pretty red fence.
Look at all the nice icicles!
This beautiful church is right in downtown Colorado Springs.
Can you believe this purple house?

A little while later, Genna and I went to play in the snow.
She loved it!
She kept saying, "kick, kick, kick."

She had a total blast until . . . she face planted in the snow. She looked very confused about the snow all over her face.
So, she needed to go warm up by the fire with a snack.

That night, Rebecca decided it was craft time. The Cluffs gave Bec and Reid some sets of foam Christmas settings. So Chad and Jordan, Reid and Genna, and Rebecca worked on them while I made cookies.

Genna and Dad played with some foam growing safari animals.
Genna got such a kick out of it!

Meanwhile, the crafts were still in process.

And I finished my cookies.

The boys played wii together that night.
So far, it has been an excellent vacation. Thanks mom and dad!

Wow, that was long! I loved the hair cut (thanks for letting us have a fun day out!), and her funny face.
