Jumping on the bandwagon!/Love You Long Time

It seems like everyone is blogging! Families and singles alike, so I thought I would take a stab at it. I'm not sure what I will be saying, but I thought it would be fun to share the funny stories that make up my life.
It is interesting how things that sound not-fun when put on paper actually were.
Last night I went to a concert with my friend Laura and her friend Juan. We waited outside for an hour to see the band Love You Long Time. Last night in Provo it was in the 30's and 40's and we didn't bundle up, because we knew inside it would be plenty warm. By the time we got inside it took me at least an hour to take off my jacket. It was at a hole in the wall in Provo and we all packed in. We were towards the front so we were naturally at the front. Of course, we got pushed about as people tried to take our spot. And when I say pushed, I mean pushed. People would come right behind you and just shove! There was this middle aged woman who apparently thought it was funny it just lay back against the crowd and see what happened. Weirdo! She also had children at this concert.

Anyway, we were at the front(even though I would have been content to move to the back) and Laura was excited. There were two opener bands: The Brobecks and some a band named sev vs. evan. Brobeck was really good (main singer was sooooo cute!), but the sev band was kind of a waste of time. Then Love You Long Time came on and everyone was so excited that we some how decided to have another pushing match. Let me just add in that when you are short (I am 5'5" which relative to a lot of the boys there, is short) you have to angle your neck up to see the stage. Ok, well what's the big deal, you say? You try doing that for 3 hours and you will find out that it really really hurts your lower back. Laura and I were in a lot of pain by the end of the concert. Also, in my vain attempt to look cute I didn't wear very comfortable shoes, so my feet were also me. And while we are adding in the complaints, my right ear is kind of funny and when there are very loud noises I get a sharp pain (maybe I should check that out...). So, a couple of times last night I was cringing at the high pitched sceams. Anyway, back to Love You Long Time. They are a band from Rexburg and they play 80's retro pop/rap/funky? music with extreme energy! They were very fun. The main singer even went crowd surfing! I'm glad I wasn't right in the middle. :) So the concert got over a little before midnight and Laura and I hobbled out into the freezing night and went home. When I got home I realized that there was a very loud ringing in my ears. I couldn't do anything to get rid of it, so I just went to sleep with a loud buzz in my ears. Like I said, on paper maybe the night doesn't seem like a success, however it was really very fun. Thanks Laura for the night on the town! Or in a hole in the wall... :)
